About the Village
Mt Martha Retirement Village is one of only about six retirement villages in all of Victoria that provides 'ageing in place'. This term means residences and nursing care on the one site.
Our group has three of these villages. At Mt Martha, a boutique size Village, there are only 59 brand new, luxurious, independent living Units. These are situated together with a 90 bed high care nursing home and 34 bed hostel, on the one site. This nursing care amenity is a vitally important point of difference from other villages, since, should a resident’s health deteriorate, experienced nursing staff are right on the premises, ready to attend to the residents immediate needs and to take care of them, either in their Unit or in the nursing home or hostel. To facilitate this service, each residence has a call system linked to the nursing home, for immediate assistance 24 hours a day - 7 days a week .
Residents have formed a registered Social Club which enables them to have drinks at 'Happy hour' and organised functions are provided in our stylish Club House's fully equipped bar and kitchen. The activity officer and the residents also organise numerous outings and functions.
At Mt Martha Retirement Village you can participate in recreational and social activities as little or as much as you desire. These activities include indoor and outdoor bowls, billiards, cards, etc. Our library and Foxtel Television wil keep you in touch with current, general topics, sports and other forms of entertainment.
Mt Martha Retirement Village adjoins the Dunn’s Road Reserve, a sculpture and recreational park managed by the Mornington Shire Council. The park has walking tracks, playground and sporting field and a leash free area for dog lovers.
The Village is secure with 24 hour staff at the nursing home and hostel. Nearby, Bentons Square Shopping Centre offers extensive shopping and professional services, post office, pharmacy, optician and a huge Coles Supermarket. Mornington village and Mt Martha Village are only minutes away and the beach is just one kilometre away. Bus services are close by too.
